Worth It! FAQs

WHAT IS THE WORTH IT! DAY?

Worth It is a day centered around building strong, independent young women who recognize their inner self-worth. We will focus on building healthy relationships and what it means to have unstoppable self-confidence. Our goal is to surround our ladies with an encouraging space to help them grow, rise up, and be heard!

HOW MUCH DOES WORTH IT! COST?

Thanks to our community partners and generous donors, this event is completely FREE of charge. We, along with our supporters, believe that finances should not be a barrier to attending, so this is our way to give back!

WHAT SHOULD STUDENTS EXPECT?

The Worth It! brand is committed to making each camper feel welcome. We all come from different walks of life; each with our own story. We embrace these differences and learn to grow from each other. Our volunteers are fun, supportive, and great listeners! We are not here to point your moral compass but instead help you find your own path for success. We want to do this in an encouraging and accepting environment where you can be yourself!

WHY IS WORTH IT! ONLY A DAY EVENT AND NOT A WEEKEND RETREAT?

In the past Worth It! has been a weekend retreat. Due to ever-changing circumstances, Worth It 2022 will be condensed into a one-day event.

WHY DO ATTENDEES HAVE TO APPLY?

Our number one priority is to offer this event to those who would not otherwise be able to afford or have the opportunity to attend Worth it! As stated above, because our day is completely FREE, not all applicants will be accepted. With only a limited number of spots, we choose attendees based on need so we want to hear your story; get to know you a little better, and see if you will be a good fit.

WHAT DO I DO AFTER I APPLY?

We will contact you within 1-2 weeks of your submission. We will confirm your application status and the next steps if accepted. If you have any other questions please contact Cheree Munoz, Camp Director, (209) 728-3109.

IS THIS AN ONLY GIRLS EVENT?

Yes, the Worth It! event is only offered to girls. We hope to expand our camps in the future and add on more events in the future.

WHAT AGES ARE ALLOWED?

Right now, we are currently taking high school-age girls from Calaveras County. Students going into freshman year or just graduating senior year are still eligible.

IS THIS A RELIGIOUS CAMP?

Although our event is hosted at a Christian camp facility, it is not a religious event. We want to welcome campers from all walks of life and make each person feel accepted!

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Pack comfortable and modest clothing for the day. Tennis shoes or other closed-toe
shoes are required for many activities. For our formal dinner, we will be hosting a 1920's murder mystery theme so if you want to bring any fun glam wear, please do! Please also remember, things do get lost or damaged at camp. Please do not wear expensive jewelry, or bring items of value.

ARE CELL PHONES ALLOWED?

In order to take in the full experience, we ask students to leave their cell phones and devices at home. We have found that it makes for a more impactful experience to take a break from technology while soaking in the fun and nature that surrounds us.

WHAT IF I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS?

Please feel free to contact us with any more questions. You can email

Cheree Munoz, Camp Director, info@dreammountaincc.com or call (209) 728-3109.

HOW CAN I HELP VOLUNTEER OR FINANCIALLY SUPPORT?

We are always looking for people to come alongside and help. We need volunteers, speakers, and financial supporters. If you love our vision and want to jump on board please check out our volunteer tab or read our support page!
